Environmental Sustainability a Brilliant Approach

Did you know that.... 

There's a single park in Costa Rica where more bird species than are found in all of North America abide?


Basically, Costa Rica has come up with a way to aid in the survival of animals, forests and humans in Symbiosis. The way they have done this is absolutely brilliant!

National Parks in Costa Rica are surrounded by buffer zones. What this means is that people can live in those areas, but they have to abide by certain regulations that are meant to preserve the natural environment. When this was put in place there was a lot of controversy, but a compromise had to be settled. Due to changes and sacrifices like these, Costa Rica can proudly say that they've been lending a hand to mother nature. They also gain the bragging rights of saying that they have more birds than we do here in North America!


Now, of course no everyone is fine with these regulations, people still hunt and kill animals that are being protected i.e. the Iguana in the picture above. However increasing the publicity of the fact that these creatures are endangered have helped!
